It wouldn't be the Super Bowl without at least one razor commercial.


That's pretty much all that can be said about this ad.

Movies promoted during the Super Bowl that have a summer release date typically do better than the movies that have a spring release date. This is Lionsgate's only Super Bowl XLI commercial. "Pride" is scheduled for a March 23 release.

Description: People Who Love Cars Love Chevy
Agency: Campbell-Ewald
Everyone from Mary J. Blige to Dale Earnhardt, Jr., sing to their own tune in this one minute commercial. The ad's concept was good but trying to figure out who was "someone" and who was just a wannabe singing along was too distracting.

Description: Immigrants Learn English
Agency: LatinWorks, Austin, Texas
Comedian Carlos Mencia stars as the English teacher. Cute and funny but not as good as the first two offerings of the game.

First Quarter, Sixth Commercial Break

Brand: GoDaddy.com
Company: GoDaddy.com
Description: Everybody Wants to Work in Marketing
Agency: GoDaddy Productions
You know there's going to be a twist when a stuffy shirt walking down the hall starts talking about GoDaddy.com. The typical skin show is that twist in this ad. Like always, the GoDaddy ads don't have much to do with what the company actual sells. But then again, neither do a majority of ads airing during the Super Bowl. Indy driver Danica Patrick and GoDaddy CEO and founder Bob Parsons also have cameos in the ad.

Description: Video Game Guy Gets Happy
Agency: Wieden & Kennedy
Video games are hot and this ad definitely captures your attention and keeps it all the way to the end. A plus: you don't have to wait to the end to know what product's being pitched.
